FAQs
Is bamboo softer than cotton sheets?
Yes. Most customers notice it on the very first night. Bamboo fibres are naturally longer and smoother than cotton, which means fewer fibre ends poking against your skin. Our sheets are woven at 350 thread count, which is the sweet spot for bamboo: at this count, the fabric is breathable and lightweight, yet still silky and substantial. (A 600TC cotton sheet, by comparison, is often denser and less breathable.) The softness also deepens with each wash.
Is the bamboo fabric actually cooling, or is that just a marketing claim?
It's the real deal. Bamboo is naturally moisture-wicking as it pulls sweat away from your body faster than cotton and the open weave structure allows airflow that microfibre and high-thread-count cotton block.
If you tend to sleep warm, run hot, or wake up damp, bamboo is one of the most effective fabric choices you can make. Our sheets are also OEKO-TEX certified, meaning no chemical finishes that could trap heat.
Why is 350 thread count the perfect number for bamboo?
Thread count was designed as a cotton metric. Bamboo fibres are naturally much longer and finer, so a lower thread count in bamboo equals — or exceeds — the feel of a higher thread count in cotton.
At 350TC, our sheets hit the ideal balance: soft and smooth without becoming heavy or clingy. Going higher actually reduces breathability without adding meaningful softness. Think of it like this: a 350TC bamboo sheet often outperforms a 600TC cotton sheet on both feel and airflow.
Is it safe for sensitive skin or my children?
Yes. Our bamboo sheets areOEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means every component — fabric, dyes, thread — has been independently tested and verified to be free of harmful substances. This is one of the most rigorous textile certifications in the world. Bamboo is also naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, making it a particularly good choice for eczema-prone skin or young children.
Can I return them if I don't like it?
You have 30 nights to try them— washed and slept in. If they're not the softest sheets you've owned, just reach out and we'll arrange a return.
What does the 2 year warranty cover?
We stand behind the craftsmanship. The 2-year warranty covers:
- Seam failures and stitching coming undone under normal use
- Fabric defects — thinning, splitting, or structural breakdown from manufacturing
- Elastic failure on the fitted sheet
It does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from bleach or high-heat drying, or stains and physical damage. If something goes wrong with the quality of the product itself, we'll make it right.
How do I care for bamboo sheets? Are they high-maintenance?
Not at all — just a few things to keep in mind:
- Machine wash cold or warm (max 30–40°C) on a gentle cycle
- Tumble dry on low heat, or air dry (preferred)
- Avoid bleach and fabric softener — they break down bamboo fibres over time
- Iron on low if needed, but bamboo naturally releases wrinkles after a wash
Treated right, bamboo sheets actually get softer with every wash.
How long will they last?
With proper care, bamboo sheets typically outlast standard cotton by a meaningful margin. The long, smooth fibres resist pilling and hold their structure through repeated washes. Most customers find their Snow Slumber sheets looking and feeling fresh well into their second and third year — which is also why we back them with a 2-year warranty.
